The Office of Planning & Institutional Effectiveness (OPIE) provides statistical information to
support decision making processes within all academic and administrative units of Florida International
University, the faculty senate, different committees within FIU, the Board of Governors, state and
federal agencies, and professional and private organizations. Known as the official source of University
statistics, OPIE coordinates the collection of data, preparation of reports and files, and their submission
to the Board of Governors.
