SCHOOL CITY OF HAMMOND
BILINGUAL EDUCATION PROGRAM
TALENT SHOW 2010
• The deadline to register the act is Friday April 23rd, 2010, at which time the
permission slips and the name of the act must be turned in at the Bilingual
Program Office at the Area Career Center, Room # 300, by 3:30pm.
• Students may participate in one group act ONLY. Rehearsals will be held DAILY
on Monday, April 19th thru Friday April 30th & Monday May 3rd thruWednesday
May 5th at 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm in the Auditorium. Appointments must be made in
advance with Elizabeth Gonzalez, 933-2455 ext: 2088.
• Acts may not exceed 3 minutes in length. Any performance exceeding the time allotted will automatically be reduced to 3 minutes. No suggestive dance moves will be permitted. • Costumes must be discreet. The Director reserves the right to eliminate acts due to inappropriate or indiscreet costumes. No GANG related clothes, colors or signs.
• Any music used must not contain profanity and must be well recorded on a CD.
The CD must contain ONLY the music for the act. Please do not send in the copy
you have used to practice with. Only one song per CD /per act will be allowed. All
CD’s must be properly labeled with the name of the act, name of the song.
• CD’s are due Friday, April 23rd, 2010 by 4:00 at the Bilingual Program Office,
Area Career Center, Room 300. Acts will be eliminated if music has not been received by the deadline. All performers must have their acts (including costumes and music) approved by
ACC Bilingual Staff or Bilingual Instructor at the schools by Friday, April 23rd,
2010 by 4:00 p.m.

• El plazo para registrar el acto es el viernes, 23 de abril, 2010. Las hojas de
permiso y el nombre del acto deberán de ser entregadas en la oficina del
Programa Bilingüe, Área Career Center salón 300 para las 3:30 p.m.
• Los Ensayos serán diario comenzando en abril, 19-30 y del 3-5 de mayo, de 3:00
– 5:00 p.m. en el auditorio. Los alumnos solamente pueden participar en un a
• cto en grupo. El tiempo debe ser reservado con la Sra. Elizabeth González al
número 933-2455 ext. 2088
• Los actos no deben durar más de 3 minutos. Cualquier presentación que pase del
tiempo permitido será automáticamente reducida a 3 minutos. Bailes con movimientos sugestivos no serán permitidos. • La vestimenta deberá ser discreta. El director se reserva el derecho de eliminar actos debido al vestuario indiscreto o inapropiado. Ninguna vestimenta de pandillerismo, colores, o señas será permitida. • Cualquier música que sea utilizada, no deberá contener lenguaje profano y debe estar bien grabada en un CD. El CD deberá contener solamente la música que será utilizada para la presentación. Por favor, no envíe el CD de la música que se utilizó para ensayos. Sólo se permitirá una canción por CD y por cada presentación. Todos los CD deben estar marcados correctamente con el nombre del acto, nombre de la canción y tiempo que dura la canción. El uso de discos compactos será permitido si no están rayados. • Los discos compactos tienen que estar en la oficina del Programa Bilingüe Área

• Todos los participantes deben tener sus actos (incluyendo, trajes y música) aprobados por el/la maestro(a) Bilingüe de su escuela el viernes, 23 de abril. Los actos del
ACC serán aprobados en el ACC. Si hay un acto que es cuestionable por el/la
maestro(a) tendrá que ser aprobado por la directora del programa bilingüe.
• El día del programa de talentos, todos los participantes deberán llegar a las 3:00pm para registrarse en la mesa de control de actos/presentaciones. • Todos los alumnos deberán permanecer en silencio mientras esperan su turno atrás del escenario y permanecerse en silencio sentados durante el evento. • La directora tiene el derecho de descalificar cualquier acto que pueda ser inapropiado Si tiene alguna pregunta, por favor, póngase en contacto con Eduardo Zepeda al teléfono 933-2455 Ext. 2088 y 2095 ó a la Oficina Bilingüe al (219) 933-2455 NOTA: Habrá tamales y refrescos para la venta antes del programa y durante el
intermedio. También habrá rifa de 50/50 para recaudar fondos al PAC.
