Mass Spectrometry 101 Lecture Series 2013

Mass spectrometry has emerged as a core analytical technique for chemistry and medical
research sciences. Presented by Dr Nicholas Williamson and Dr David Perkins the purpose
of these three lectures is to provide a basic working knowledge of mass spectrometry, and in
the later lectures proteomics and proteomic bioinformatics. It is deliberately aimed at new
MS users with explanations kept as simple as possible and emphasis placed on
understanding the results.
