Letters; toy guns; jewellery, and precious metals, gold, silver, platinum, gold bullion (except
in insured items); documents and books prejudical to peace and public order; articles which
can be used for espionage; germs; opium pipes; counterfeit coins or imitations of money;
bank-notes promissory notes; cheques; securities payable to bearer (except in insured items);
imitation stamps; ginseng; salt; plants, seeds; scalves; live animals; all kinds of meat,
including edible meat offal, meat based products and pet foods, silk-worms; virulent and
deadly poisons. Ordinary books, newspaper and periodicals are however admitted in any
language, including Esperanto. Charged butane gas lighters and refills (uncharged lighters are
admitted), tobaccos; narcotics and prohibited drugs; counterfeit products and products that
violate copywight laws. Small arms and defensive weapons (telescopic sight).
Restrictions
A parcel containing items originating in Foreign countries of a total value exceeding US $100will not be subject to Customs Duty. However, articles not exceeding the above-mentionedlimits in value which are imported on a commercial basis, eg. Several parcels containingitems of the same kind and destined for the same addressee, will be subject to customs duty.
These restrictions will not apply to Gift, Red Cross or Relief parcels sent by charitableorganisations of foreign countries.
